4 months with the gang of 4
Time needs to slow down. Truly, it is going too fast and I really understand what people mean by there just not being enough hours in the day. Oly is already 4 months and Kins is coming up quick on 3 years old. Oly decided it was time to roll over this morning for her 4 month celebration. Kins and I cheered her on as we put her back on her belly just to watch her do it again. I love that Kins is really starting to like her sister. She does however play very rough, so we have to keep a close eye on her. Kins has also been potty trained for the last month or so. She is such a big girl now and very picky about which underwear she will where each day. Kind of funny really!

Oly is 2 months
She is already 2 months old. Oly is cooing, smiling, sleeping pretty well at night and will even give us a little laugh here and there. She is really engaged with everything around her and she is fascinated by her older sister. I can't remember what life was like without her.

May has flown by
I must say I was a little worried when McKinley would not even acknowledge her little sister for the first 6 weeks. Since then things have gotten much better. She is now kissing and even feeding her. This month was a whirlwind and I can't even believe I have not been at my regular day job. There is constantly so much to be done around the house and with the girls, I really don't know how working mothers do it. I guess I will find out in the next 8 weeks.

Our Friends from Portland came to town for the weekend and we had a great time showing them around. Thanks Wrisley's for coming down.

Nik and I were able to leave Kins with Gigi for a night and head to the bay for a very quick trip to watch some Giants baseball. Oly tagged along, but as you can see she wasn't much cargo.
First day of the backyard pool was a success minus forcing her out of the pool because her lips were blue and she was shivering followed by a major tantrum. Gotta love 2.

Giants Baseball
Having two kids is completely different than having one. What I mean by this is it is much harder but Nik and I have come to the conclusion it is not going to slow us down. We decided to take our first family trip to the Bay for a night to see the Giants play. It definitely proved to be challenging, but totally worth the effort and work. We had great seats in the outfield over the big wall, but we only sat there about 1 inning to actually watch the game. The rest of the time was spent chasing Kins around. She went down the slide in the big Coke bottle, and she got to play in the mini baseball field (hitting the ball, running the bases, diving into home and trying to catch the balls in outfield the other kids hit.) It was truly the best time ever watching her have so much fun! I wish I had better pictures of her playing baseball, but I was too busy laughing and cheering her on.

Welcome Olympia Winn Kosach
Wow, it has been a year since I last updated my blog. Life has suddenly become very busy and I have found it very difficult to keep this up to date. Since last May a lot has happened, so much so that I can't even remember what except that we got pregnant again and recently had our 2nd baby girl.
Olympia Winn Kosach was born on March 31, 2015 at 8:24 PM. She was 9.9 lbs and a whopping 22.5 inches long. Yes, she was a very BIG girl. Luckily, I was able to do an all natural childbirth again without any complications or medication. And, even though she was almost a pound bigger than McKinley, she was much easier to labor through. I had a 7.5 hr labor instead of the 20 hr labor I had with McKinley. I really contribute it to having been there before and being able to put my mind in the zone (if you know what I mean).
McKinley didn't get to go to the hospital to meet her little sis, because she had pick eye and needed to stay away for a couple days. Thank you Gigi, Grampy, Baba and Djedo for taking care of our oldest. The above photos were the first time she met Olympia.
That weekend was Easter, and the Latham's were in town so we did all the expected Easter stuff. Hunts, eating and hanging out in the great weather.
When Oly (her nickname) was only 2 weeks old, she came down with a temperature. We were pretty sure she got it from her older sister but since she was so young we needed to take her into emergency. She ended up staying in the hospital for 4 nights, because they had to monitor her and make sure she didn't get any worse. It felt like forever and was pretty scary. The highest temp she got was 102.3 in the hospital but they were able to administer Tylenol to help keep the temps down. Since they weren't sure if she had a bacterial infection they did all the precautionary tests and lab work. She had a spinal tap, blood work, urine sample, and every other liquid they could culture from her body. Luckily, none of the cultures turned out positive so they concluded she really did just get what McKinley had.
McKinley is definitely going through transition with her younger sis. She is not too sure about her yet and is in the terrible twos so we have been keeping her busy in gymnastics and now swim lessons.
Olympia is already 1 month old and growing like a weed. She does look a lot like her big sis, but we can already tell her personality is much different. She is calm and quiet and does not fuss about too much at all. She didn't even cry when she was born, she just laid on my belly looking up at me.
Welcome to our crazy and fun family Oly, we are in love with you and so happy you got to join us in this wonderful life.
