It's My Half Birthday

Yesterday was my half birthday! I am now 16 lbs 14 oz and I am 26.5 inches tall. I am in the 75th percentile for babies my age. I am sitting up completely on my own and I am starting to practice my crawling position. My favorite thing is standing, so I haven't decided if I want to skip crawling all together and go right to running. I roll over with ease now and I am also sleeping completely through the night. I have started to eat more solid (pureed) foods including carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, apples, pears, bananas, avocados, squash and green beans. I have become quite the talker (ba, da, ah) and I laugh at many things now.

We can't believe it has already been six months. Time is flying by and life with our little McKinley could not be any better. We are so thankful to have such a happy and healthy little girl. We are truly blessed.

Sunny Saturday in Tahoe

The temperature was cool, but the sun was out and the skies were blue. We took the family up to Hidden Beach for some swimming and hanging out. It was Emmie's first time swimming in the lake and Kins first time at the beach. It was a perfect day!!

Happy Mother's Day

Dry Pond hike by Mt Rose
I am one lucky momma. It was a perfect day with my perfect little family. Breakfast, hiking, family BBQ and great weather were all part of the day. I am so proud to be the mother of our precious little Kins. This is the best job on earth and I am so lucky to have my wonderful husband, beautiful and healthy daughter and our fantastic doggies. What a perfect weekend!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Down by the Bay

We spent last weekend in the Bay Area. It was Serbian Easter and McKinley and I had never been to an Eastern Orthodox Church. Nik was excited to take us, because he went to this particular one many times growing up. His grandfather had helped build the church, so it is a special place in the the Kosach Family.

McKinley got to spend Saturday with her Baba, her aunt Susie and her cousin Conner. Nik and I took the BART into San Francisco for the day and we spent the day with my sister Ali. Ferry Building, Tadich Grill, Haight Street and a lot of walking. It was so much fun, the weather was great and we got to enjoy the city we love so much.

On Sunday it was church day, so we spent the morning in church then enjoyed a wonderful lunch with the family in the church party hall.

Visiting the LaDukes

Gigi was going to visit the LaDukes and I decided to tag along with McKinley. She had never met her aunt, uncle and cousins before so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to go for a visit. We flew to Phoenix on Wednesday and stayed until Saturday. Swim lessons, walks, warm weather, shopping, pedicures, and a water park were all part of the week. It was so much fun seeing Callie (8), Avery (5) and Liam (1). Callie is busy in second grade and has all sorts of activities (violin, soccer, homework), Avery is in preschool and swim lessons 3 days a week and Liam gets to hang out with Mommy. Addie sure has her hands full, but she does a wonderful job. Their new house is HUGE and very beautiful. I think McKinley enjoyed watching her older cousins. She would stare at them in amazement of all the things they could do.

Thanks Addie, Cameron and the kids for having us. I'm so glad we made the trip out to see you. We miss you already and can't wait to see you again this summer.
