Rodeo 2013

End of June means 10 days of rodeo fun. We didn't go all 10 days, but we managed to go 3 together. Nik even fit in a 4th day with his team from work. My Dad and Sherri took the Kosach clan (Keri, Sam, Gail, Steve, Nik and me) on Saturday night. Nik and I took Kins on Wednesday and then we went again on Friday with Dad and Sherri. Every year we have so much fun. Kins was a little young for it this year, but I am glad she went. Thanks Dad for always sharing your box seats, the presidents room, and of course your wonderful hospitality in sharing this unique and exciting event each year.

7 Months Old

Wow, time flies when your having fun. I turned 7 months old yesterday. This month I learned how to crawl, so now I am all over the place. I still put everything in my mouth, including dog toys when I can get a hold of them. I love to hold onto Mommy or Daddy's hands and walk around and I am able to balance standing up, holding on to something of course. I can also pull myself in to a standing position from being seated. I want to eat whatever Mommy and Daddy are eating, but unfortunately I don't have any teeth yet. So they let me try very small soft pieces of things like sweet potatoes, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, avocados and peaches.

Happy Father's Day

I'm pretty sure Nik had a wonderful Father's Day. We got to spend it with all of our dads and Nik spent the whole day with his favorite little girl. We drove up to Tahoe for a bike ride with Gigi, Ben, Ali and Mariah. Had a fantastic lunch at the Bridge Tender in Tahoe City, then spent some time at the beach playing in the water. Afterwards we drove back to Reno just in time for a dinner at Keri's house with Papa, Sherri, Djedo, Baba, Keri and Sam. It was a perfect day spending quality time with so many great dads.

Nik you are a wonderful father to our little girl. Seeing the smile on Kins face when you walk into the room is priceless and the laugh you get her to do is unforgettable. Papa and Djedo, thank you for everything you do and have done for us. We love you very much!

A Landscaped Backyard

Landscaping our backyard was priority number 1 moving into our new house. Having dogs and a dirt backyard just doesn't mix well. We used my Mom and Ben's trusty landscaper and he worked hard 6am-6pm for six days to get this completed. The end result is fantastic!! Plants need to grow, fire pit is being completed as we speak and the side yards will have to wait until next year. But, all in all we are very happy with it. Many memories will be created back there. Whether it's McKinley running through the sprinklers, BBQs and hanging out by the fire pit or gardening in the nice summer weather, they will all have a happy place in our hearts.

Meeting Otto and Idaho Adventures

It was a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend up in Idaho. Nik and I packed up the family and took the drive to Idaho to meet Otto and visit with the rest of the Lathams. We had a blast! Lots of playtime for Dax and Kins, cuddling with the new little guy, hiking with Gigi and Sarah and the boys got to go skiing, four wheeling, and mountain biking. It was a jam packed weekend, but so much fun.
