9 Months Old

9 Months today! Talking, talking and lots of yelling are my favorite things to do. Nothing makes sense yet, but I am sure making my presence wherever we are. I can crawl up the stairs now, down is another story (not even close) and I am opening cabinets and drawers. Mommy is scrambling to try to get the house baby proof, but I keep finding new areas that should be off limits. I can stand on my own for about 5-10 seconds at a time and some how I have learned to take my crawl into a speed crawl. I'm a fast kiddo. I am eating mainly solid foods now. My favorite is any type of protein. I love salmon! But, I still only have 2 teeth, so I eat small bites and down a few purees throughout the day. While I am awake I do not sit still for even a second, especially when Mommy or Daddy try to change my diaper.

Hello Mommy!
What's with this silly sticker?

Danny and Sara's Wedding Shower

Danny and Nik lived and played in Germany together a couple years back. He has since moved to Seattle and got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Sara. We consider Danny and Sara great friends and were honored when they invited us up to their cabin on the Puget Sound for their bridal shower. This was also McKinley's first time meeting them. What a wonderful weekend getaway and so nice to see such great people.

Weekends at the Lake

We are so lucky to be so close to Lake Tahoe. We have traveled all over the world and still think Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. This past weekend we were able to spend both days there. Saturday we met Keri, Sam and Cora at Hidden Beach. Spending the day on the beach playing with the dogs and enjoying the perfect weather. Then, Sunday we parked our car at Squaw Valley, and rode our bikes to Tahoe City. There, we were able to sit and enjoy an evening concert on the beach. It was a fantastic weekend!
