On our way to Reno we made a pitstop at Bucks Lake for an evening to visit David and Heather (our friends). It is a beautiful lake near Lake Almanor. Unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures. We got to Reno in time to head to the Rodeo with my Dad. This was Nik's first time to the show and I knew he wouldn't be disappointed. Of course we had a blast. He had so much fun we made sure to go one more time before we left.
It was so nice to see all the family and get to see the sun for a while. We had dinner with my Mom and Ben, Nik got to see Grandma Winn, we enjoyed a quick lunch with my Dad for Father's Day, we had dinner with Gail and Steve and we spent time with Keri and Sam enjoying breakfast, then taking them to the rodeo the second time.
Since we will be adding an addition to the family we decided we needed a second car. We bought none other than a Subaru Outback. This is my third Subaru and I know I will be happy with the car for years to come. It fits the dogs and it will fit our future family.
In between the two weekends we were there, I had to fly to Ventura for work and Nik had to go to Sacramento for work as well. Keri and Sam were gracious enough to take in Wanda and Emmie. They got to spend the week with their cousin Cora.
BIG NEWS!! With the new baby on the way we have been feeling a huge yearning to be closer to family. We want our little one to grow up near their Great grandparents, grandparents and some of their aunts, uncles and cousins. We started to look for opportunities in the Bay Area, Sacramento and the Reno area, but we weren't sure if or when it would happen. Luckily, Nik's company has offered to transfer his territory down to the Sacramento area. We decided this was our chance to take the move. We aren't exactly sure where we will be living, because his territory runs from Vacaville to Redding. Nik has already started working the area (the reason why he was in Sacramento for work last week) and is deciding where most of his business is. Then, we can live where it is most convenient for him. I will be staying up in Portland until the end of July to finish up with my company and he will be coming to visit for many of the weekends until then. We are super excited and can't wait to come see each of you more often. We are also looking forward to visiting Tahoe more and seeing the SUN.
