6 Months and 2 Peas in a Pod

McKinley is becoming a wonderful older sister. If Oly isn't around she is sure to ask where she is and when she thinks we aren't looking she is very sweet Oly talking to her in a baby voice.

Gotta love the Costco carts. They hold 2 kids.

Olympia is now 6 months. She is still the sweetest thing we have ever known. She is happy and easy most of the time. She watches her older sister and the dogs with great interest. Oly is starting to eat pureed foods, but she would rather eat what we eat. No teeth yet, but she will be happy when she does. Soon she will be crawling, she is already pushing herself backwards on her belly.

Today we went to the pumpkin patch. We rode the hayride, picked out pumpkins and fed the goats. It was a beautiful morning and the girls were happy to be out and about.

She liked the little pumpkins

5 months old & lots more

Oly is now 5 months old. She is sitting up, rolling over both ways, laughing, cooing, sleeping through the night and just started to eat rice cereal this week. Oh did I mention she is 18lbs!!! Yes, this girl is BIG, but she is strong, healthy and happy as can be. She is such a joy to have and we absolutely love every moment with her.

This past month was full of adventure. I had gone back to work from maternity leave, but that did't stop us from making our weekends packed. On a last minute decision we packed our family in the car and drove to the Bay for a Giants game and the zoo the next day. This was Kins first time to the zoo, so she was very excited to see all the animals we read in books, sing about in songs, and watch in cartoons.

On the train at the zoo. This girl was pumped!

Also this month, we went for a family walk/golf. A 9 hole golf course is near our house and it made for a fun morning.

Hi Daddy!
Just when I was getting used to being back at work. The owners of my company announced any moms that had babies in the last year, could take another 4 months off (fully paid) to spend more time with our babies. There is about 8 of us. My work was scheduled to open a daycare center this summer and postponed it until January. This is the reason they are giving me and the other mommies more time off. Once the daycare center opens in January we will be called back to work. Until then, I will be enjoying every moment with my family. Travel, adventure, birthdays and holidays are in our future. So, stay tuned...

4 months with the gang of 4

Time needs to slow down. Truly, it is going too fast and I really understand what people mean by there just not being enough hours in the day. Oly is already 4 months and Kins is coming up quick on 3 years old. Oly decided it was time to roll over this morning for her 4 month celebration. Kins and I cheered her on as we put her back on her belly just to watch her do it again. I love that Kins is really starting to like her sister. She does however play very rough, so we have to keep a close eye on her. Kins has also been potty trained for the last month or so. She is such a big girl now and very picky about which underwear she will where each day. Kind of funny really!

Oly is 2 months

She is already 2 months old. Oly is cooing, smiling, sleeping pretty well at night and will even give us a little laugh here and there. She is really engaged with everything around her and she is fascinated by her older sister. I can't remember what life was like without her.
There's her smile. She has my squinty eyes

My girls have some crazy hair!

May has flown by

I must say I was a little worried when McKinley would not even acknowledge her little sister for the first 6 weeks. Since then things have gotten much better. She is now kissing and even feeding her. This month was a whirlwind and I can't even believe I have not been at my regular day job. There is constantly so much to be done around the house and with the girls, I really don't know how working mothers do it. I guess I will find out in the next 8 weeks.

She can't stop talking about bounce houses now
My attempt to get rid of the Binkie. Let's just say it didn't quite work. She still has it for naps and bedtime at home.  I would rather the binkie be in her mouth then EVERYTHING else.
Sisterly love!
Our little silly bunny
Ooh
Our Friends from Portland came to town for the weekend and we had a great time showing them around. Thanks Wrisley's for coming down.

Oh the laugh makes me smile every time. She cracks me up!
Idlewild train with friends
Swimming!! The goggles stayed on for about 60 seconds

Yummy corn!
Nik and I were able to leave Kins with Gigi for a night and head to the bay for a very quick trip to watch some Giants baseball. Oly tagged along, but as you can see she wasn't much cargo.

First day of the backyard pool was a success minus forcing her out of the pool because her lips were blue and she was shivering followed by a major tantrum. Gotta love 2.
