Idaho a go go

Gigi, Nik, McKinley and I decided to make the haul to Idaho for the long weekend. This was McKinley's first long road trip (8 hours) so we were all wondering how she would do. On the way there she did fantastic. All except the last 30 minutes, she was ready to move and get out of the car. When we arrived Uncle Zach had prepared a delicious meal of short ribs. It made the entire drive worth it.

On Saturday, the boys went touring and skiing, the girls went nordic skiing and Gigi babysat the kiddos. Sarah is 5 months pregnant and she showed me up on the skate skis. She is in great shape and it's motivating to see her exercising through pregnancy like that. Afterwards, we all met at Galena Lodge for a yummy lunch and spent time soaking up the sun.

On Sunday, the boys went touring and skiing again while the girls took Dax to Dollar Hill to practice his ski skills. Pretty impressive an 18 month old is skiing already. He lasted about 3 runs, then enjoyed the hot chocolate in the lodge. We all had to be back to Nick and Jean Latham's (Zach's parents) by 1:00 because the 49ers were playing for the NFC West Championship. Gigi made a delicious chili and we all sat around rooting the 49ers and Kaepernick on. We were even doing the wave at some points to impress Dax and get him excited. Yay, they won!!! Super Bowl here we come!!!

Our side entertainment for the game. The adult toy! We road this thing around the Latham's. It was so fun!

It was a quick weekend and a long drive, but it was all worth it. We had a blast!! Thanks Aunt Sarah and Uncle Zach for entertaining us. Also, a huge thank you to Nick and Jean for letting the Kosach family stay with you. It was a perfect setup.

Nik has great photos from the skiing they did over the weekend. Hopefully he will do an update with them.
